Azule Energy has appointed Rachel Msiska as Deputy General Manager for its Namibia operations as the company moves to strengthen its presence and stakeholder engagement in the country.
Msiska, who has more than 12 years of experience in the energy and petroleum sector, will support Azule Energy Namibia Country General Manager Giovanni Aquilina as the company advances its long-term plans in Namibia.
She previously served as Deputy General Manager and Public and Government Affairs Manager at ExxonMobil Namibia and has held leadership positions within the Namibia Petroleum Operators Association (NAMPOA) and the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR).
Msiska’s experience covers stakeholder engagement, public and government affairs, corporate governance and community investment.
She is also the founder and chairperson of the Women in Oil, Gas & Energy Network Namibia (WOGEN).
“Rachel’s appointment is an important step for Azule Energy in Namibia. Her experience, leadership and deep understanding of the sector will be invaluable as we continue building strong partnerships across the country,” Aquilina said.
“I am looking forward to working closely with Rachel as we support Namibia’s energy ambitions.”
Msiska will be based in Windhoek.
