Letshego best NSX performer

Letshego Holdings Namibia (LHN) share price increased by 35% in the past 12 months, making it the best performing counter on the Namibian Stock Exchange (NSX) Local Index.

According to data shared by Simonis Storm, the share price of Oryx Properties, owners of the Maerua Mall, gained 14% in the 12 months to July 2022, followed by Namibian Asset Managers which is up 6.1%.

For the period, SBN Holdings retreated 29.2%, while Namibia Breweries declined 19.2%, Mobile Telecommunications 15.4% and the Capricorn Group 11.4%.

On a monthly basis, Paladin Energy was the biggest mover in July, gaining 32.4% on the NSX Overall Index, followed by Shoprite Holdings at 14.4%, Vukile Property Fund up 14.1%, Mediclinic International 8.9%and Anglo American up 8.4%.

Trustco Group Holdings retreated 54.8% in July, followed by Capricorn Holdings down 17.2%, LHN 11.7% and PSG Konsult down9.9%.

According to Simonis Storm, a total of N$3,8 billion were traded on the NSX Overall Index for the month of July 2022, “this is 46% of the total amount that has been traded on the NSX Overall Index Year to date.”
