Chamber of Mines retains Mbako, Simataa, Kasete exco

Hilifa Mbako, Executive Chairperson of Orano Mining Namibia has retained his position as President of the Chamber of Mines of Namibia for the 2022 – 2023 period, following its annual general meeting held on Wednesday.

Irvinne Simataa, Vice President, Mining Operations at Swakop Uranium Namibia and Zebra Kasete, Vice President and Managing Director, Dundee Precious Metals Tsumeb also retained their positions as 1st and 2nd Vice President respectively of the mining body.

“It was re-affirmed at the AGM held on 27 April 2022 that the Chamber’s current EXCO leadership will remain for the 2022 – 2023 period, who will continue serving in their elected roles as per Chamber Constitution until the end of their terms at the next AGM in 2023,” the mining sector body announced.
