SNC Incorporated Managing Partner Shakwa Nyambe has been ranked as a Highly Regarded Lawyer in the 2025 IFLR1000 listings under Projects: Energy, with specific focus on oil and gas.
The IFLR1000 said Nyambe’s inclusion reflects his technical capability, strategic decision-making and his role in guiding major developments in Namibia’s energy sector. His advisory work spans governments, international oil companies and energy developers navigating regulatory and commercial requirements.
In response to the ranking, Nyambe said the endorsement reinforces the firm’s commitment to the sector.
“Being recognised by the IFLR1000 again is a meaningful acknowledgement of the work we do at SNC Incorporated. It is encouraging to see our efforts supporting the growth of Namibia’s energy sector and helping clients navigate opportunities responsibly. This recognition strengthens our resolve to continue providing legal guidance that drives sustainable development and long-term value in the sector,” he said.
Nyambe’s practice covers multi-jurisdictional transactions, project development, regulatory compliance and commercial structuring within the energy and natural resources space. As head of a firm recognised for energy, corporate and commercial law, he has shaped legal frameworks and investment pathways for players in the sector.
He also serves as President of the Association of International Energy Negotiators, a role highlighting his influence on policy and negotiations beyond Namibia.
The ranking comes amid increased interest in Namibia following discoveries in the Orange Basin. Nyambe has advised industry players on licensing, development and investment strategies aimed at ensuring compliance and sustainable advancement of the sector.
