Namibia’s Ministry of Mines and Energy has introduced a four-window system to facilitate online applications for Mining Licences, Exploration Licences, and Petroleum Licences.
Mine and Energy minister, Tom Alweendo said the initiative aims to address the existing backlog and streamline processes.
“We have observed the challenges associated with physical applications. Digitally, it will enhance processing time turnaround and eliminate various processes that could potentially create loopholes,” said Alweendo.
The new system is scheduled to commence in 2024.
