Elevate Uranium Ltd says commissioning and operator training at its U-pgrade demonstration and pilot plant in Namibia are nearing completion, with steady-state operations expected to begin in late January 2026.

The company said the plant has been fully assembled following its shipment from Australia and is undergoing final commissioning while local personnel are trained to operate the facility.

Managing Director Murray Hill said the commissioning phase marks a significant operational milestone for the company.

“Commissioning of the U-pgrade™ demonstration and pilot plant in Namibia is a major milestone that our team has been working hard to achieve after an extended period of preparation and on-site assembly,” Hill said.

Elevate Uranium said the plant was assembled in Namibia after being transported from Australia and is being commissioned under senior technical supervision.

“After transportation from Australia, the plant was assembled in Namibia and is being commissioned under the supervision of the company’s Senior Metallurgist, Andrew Jones, who relocated to Namibia to oversee commissioning and operations,” Hill said.

During the commissioning phase, the company said it is training 40 local personnel to support plant operations, while verifying that mechanical, control and process systems are operating as designed. Steady-state operations are expected to commence after the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

“The primary objective of the pilot plant programmes is to validate the U-pgrade™ beneficiation process on a continuous operational basis and at a commercially scalable size, using ore from the Koppies and Marenica projects,” Hill said.

The company said operational data and process metrics generated by the pilot plant will be incorporated into technical studies for the Koppies Uranium Project and the Marenica Uranium Project.
